Monday’s all class cattle sale featured a decent run of cows and bulls and a light offering of feeder cattle. Slaughter cows and bulls were lower this week, with an average price of $150.00-$153.00 on cows, with a top price of $198.00 on replacement type cows. Slaughter bulls $177.50-$180.00, with a top price of $203.00. Cow calf pairs sold from $3700.00 to $4400.00, while bred cows brought $2150.00-$2900.00 per head.
On the feeder side, 400-500 weight steers sold for $385.75 on average, with a top of $415.00, while same weight heifers brought $348.35 to $365.00. 500-600 weight steers averaged $352.95, and topped at $387.50, and heifers averaged $344.95, with a high of $361.00. 600-700 weight steers hit a top of $326.00, and averaged $311.00. Same weight heifers brought up to $321.00, and averaged $281.55.
