Monday’s feeder special featured near 800 head, with a strong run of cows to start of the day, and several excellent consignments of feeder calves and yearlings.  Slaughter cows topped out at $142.50, with an average price of $103.30 to $110.70.  Slaughter bulls had a high of $132.00, with an average of $110.00 on a light offering.  Younger bulls weighing 1100 to 1200 pounds brought $182.00, while 1000-1100 pound bulls brought up to $197.00.  Feeder calves were steady to higher, especially on calves with two rounds of vaccinations.  400-500 weight steers sold for $292.50, with an average of $258.50.  Same weight heifers sold for 289.00, and averaged 262.91.  500-600 weight steers brought 281.50 on the top, with an average of $257.61, while heifers topped out at $255.00, and averaged $225.00.  600-700 weight steers sold for $250.00 on the top, with an average of $235.64. Same weight heifers brought $231.00, and averaged $217.50.  Next Monday, November 25th, we’ll have an all class cattle sale.  Our next feeder special will be Monday, December 2nd.  If you have any questions or would like to consign, please give us a call anytime.
