Market Update 04/12/2021

Monday’s feeder special featured a good run of calves and yearlings and a strong market with excellent demand.  Slaughter cows were stronger as well, with the best of the cows bringing $.84 cents, with an average price of $.69 cents per pound.  Feeder cattle were stronger with a good offering of light calves and yearlings, both to go to grass and on feed.  400-500 weight steers brought $179.00, with an average of $155.78, while same weight heifers brought $160.00, with an average of $149.30.  600-700 weight steers brought $176.00, with an average of $156.61, while heifers brought $143.00, with an average of $134.15.  We also had a good run of cow calf pairs, with 3-5 year old cows with fresh calves at side brought between $1250 and $1450 per pair.  Next week we will have a regular cattle sale, and our next feeder special will be Monday April 26th.  If you have any questions or would like to consign please give us a call anytime.
