Market Update 11/29/2021

Monday’s Feeder Special sale featured over 1050 head of calves on offer, and 1160 total head of cattle.  Cull cows and bulls were steady, with a top price of $.64 cents per pound, while bringing $.53-$.54 on average.  Bulls were up a bit, with a top of $.84 cents, while averaging $.75-$.80 cents per pound.  Feeder cattle were stronger, especially on calves with two rounds of shots and weaned, with good buyer demand and participation.  Steers weighing 400-500 pounds topped out at $1.83, with an average price of $1.66.  Same weight heifers brought up to $146.50, with an average of $129.70.  500-600 weight steers brought $1.66, with an average price of $1.45, while heifers in the same weight class brought $1.42 and averaged $1.29.  600-700 weight steers brought $152.50 and averaged $138.62, with heifers bringing 136.00 and a $119.31 average.  Next Monday, December 6th, we will have a regular cattle sale, and we will feature bred cows and pairs at 1:00 p.m.  Our next feeder special will be Monday, December 13th.  If you have any questions or would like to consign, please give us a call anytime.
