Monday’s all class cattle sale featured a good run of cows and a light offering of calves and yearlings. Slaughter cows were steady from last week, with the best of the cows bringing up to $124.50, and an average price of $100.00-105.50. Slaughter bulls were lower on a light test, with bulls bringing $113.00-120.00 per pound. Feeder cattle were steady to higher, despite a light test. 400-500 weight steers went up to $307.50, and averaged $303.00. Heifers weighing 400-500 brought $265.00, and averaged $178.36. 500-600 weight steers sold for $285.00 on the top, with an average of $234.00, while same weight heifers brought up to $250.00, with a $212.61 average. 600-700 weight steers brought $242.50, and averaged $234.00, with heifers bringing $230.00 on the top and averaging $223.00. Steers weighing 700-800 pounds topped out at $242.00, while heifers had a high of $219.50. Next Monday, December 2nd, we’ll have a feeder special, and expect a strong market.
