Monday’s all class cattle sale and bred cow special featured a good run of cull cows and bulls, and a light offering of feeder calves and bred stock. Slaughter cows were higher on a good offering, with a top price of $167.00, and an average price of $145.00-$155.00. Slaughter bulls were steady to lower, averaging $151.00, and a top of $162.50. Good bred heifers sold for $3600-3950 per head. Mid aged to older bred cows sold for $2500-$3300 per head. Not enough feeder cattle for a good test, except on mid 500 weight to low 600 weight heifers. The feeder market on those calves was notably higher, bringing $380.00-392.00 per hundred weight. The overall sentiment on feeder cattle has come back up from recent dips in the market. Next Monday, December 15th, we’ll have a feeder special, and then will be off for the next two weeks for the Christmas Holiday. Our first sale of 2026 will be Monday January 5th.
