Monday’s feeder sale featured a good run of calves on an excellent market, and another high market on cows and bulls. Slaughter cows had a top of $159.00, with an average price of $138.43 to $151.96. Slaughter bulls hit a high of $175.00, with an average of $148.00-$155.00. Feeder cattle were higher on a good run of weaned and green calves. 400-500 weight steers and bulls calves topped out at $405.00 per cwt, with an average price of $345.00. 400-500 weight heifers brought up to $348.00, and averaged $317.73. 500-600 pound steers averaged $332.59, with a high of $346.00. Same weight heifers had an average of $304.06, and a top of $336.00. 600-700 pound sold up to $316.00, and averaged $308.43, while heifers brought up to $289.00, with an average of $274.33. 700-800 weight steers brought $290.00 at the top, and averaged $281.55.
