Market Update 6-8-21

Monday’s feeder special featured 580 head of cattle, with a run of good cows and feeders.  Slaughter cows were steady to $3 higher, with a top price of $.75 cents, and an average price of $.62-$.68 cents per pound.  Slaughter bulls were steady, topping out at $.94 cents and an average of $.80-$.87 cents per pound.  Feeder cattle were steady to slightly lower.  600-700 weight steers topped out at $137.00, with an average of $127.00, while same weight heifers brought $124.50, and an average of $116.00.  700-800 weight steers brought $124.50, with an average of $120.38, while heifers brought $115.00, with an average of $108.00.  Young to mid age cow calf pairs brought $1200-$1350.  Next week we’ll have a regular cattle sale, and our next Feeder Special will be Monday, June 22nd.  If you have any questions or like to consign, please give us a call anytime.
